How to enrol at Sunbury College.

Choosing a secondary school is a big decision. We’d encourage every family to come and see the College in person before applying. Tours run regularly with the Principal.

Our school zone

Sunbury College’s school zone is published on the Victorian Government’s Find My School website. Residents within the zone are guaranteed a place at the College. We follow the Department of Education’s Placement Policy when accepting students from outside the zone.

Year 7 enrolments — 2027 intake

Applications for Year 7 in 2027 open on Monday 20 April 2026. Victorian primary schools manage the placement process. Information packs are distributed from the start of Term 2.

What you need to do

1. Download the Year 6 to 7 Placement Information pack from the Department of Education website (available from Monday 20 April 2026).
2. Submit your enrolment application by Friday 8 May 2026.
3. If your child is at a government primary school, all communication goes through the Year 6 / Transition Coordinator at that school.
4. If your child is home-schooled or attends a non-government primary school, submit the application directly to Sunbury College by Friday 8 May 2026.
5. Placement notifications are sent on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

Late applications are processed as received per the Enrolment Policy.

Other year levels

Applications can be submitted any time of the year. In-zone places are guaranteed; out-of-zone is subject to capacity.

1. Submit an Enrolment Enquiry.
2. Book a College tour to visit before enrolling.
3. Final acceptance is based on an enrolment discussion, available curriculum, Department guidelines, and family acceptance of College expectations.
