A team of teachers, leaders and support staff working together for every student.
Sunbury College has approximately 140 staff across teaching, administration, IT, integration support and other support and maintenance roles. Our teachers include both graduate and experienced staff — many of whom also serve as VCE exam markers, contributing back to the state-wide assessment process.
Principal, Assistant Principal and Leading Teacher roles are appointed through statewide competitive applications. The current structure includes:
Senior leadership
- Principal
- Four Assistant Principals — Teaching and Learning; Engagement and Wellbeing; Facilities; Day-to-day Organisation, Student Management, Communication and Events
Leading Teachers
Six Leading Teachers lead literacy, pedagogy (Voice and Agency; Curriculum and Assessment), student learning and wellbeing, and the Junior, Middle and Senior sub-schools.
Learning Specialists
Five Learning Specialists work across the College in:
- Numeracy
- Literacy
- Engagement Program
- STEM
- Disability and Inclusion
Key Learning Area Instructional Leaders
Nine Instructional Leaders — one for each KLA: English, Mathematics, Science, Health & Physical Education, Humanities, Arts, Languages, Applied Learning, and Technology.
Year Level Coordinators
Eight Year Level Coordinators are responsible for student management and House promotion across the year levels.
Other leadership roles
- Student Wellbeing Coordinator — links to community-based organisations.
- Careers, VET and Pathways Leader — leads our VET program internally and with regional TAFEs, and supports student pathways into employment and further education.
