Wellbeing & Inclusion.
A team built to make sure every student has the right support, at the right time, from the right person.
Our Wellbeing & Inclusion Team works alongside sub-school teams and classroom teachers to support every student’s mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Our team includes
- Wellbeing and Inclusion Leading Teacher — leads our overall approach and coordinates supports
- Inclusion Learning Specialist — supports teachers to differentiate for diverse learners
- Mental Health Practitioner — short-term, school-based mental health support
- Counsellor — including referrals to external services where needed
- Two Youth Workers — small group and targeted wellbeing programs
- Adolescent Health Nurse — health education and links to community services
- Doctors in Schools Program — an onsite GP by appointment for physical and mental health, including Mental Health Care Plans (bring your Medicare card)
- Student Support Services (SSS) — specialist support from the Department
- Koorie Coordinator — advocates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
How we support our students
- Individual counselling
- Small-group programs covering social skills, literacy, confidence and engagement
- Whole-school programs including Respectful Relationships
- Referrals to external agencies where needed
Accessing support at school
Students can attend the Wellbeing room directly, speak with a teacher or their Year Level Coordinator, or be referred by family or staff. Whatever the pathway, the team will respond.
